Teacher as researcher explores the role of the teacher as researcher especially in the Connecting Classrooms context of professional partnerships. 

One of the biggest barriers to adopting new pedagogies that nurture the teaching of skills, values and attitudes is the concern of many stakeholders within the education system that the delivery of locally prescribed curriculum and content will be compromised.  However a central principle of our approach to the teaching of core skills is that in order for it to be successful, they must be integrated into the content of the curriculum.

Supporting teachers to develop a greater awareness of issues around inclusion and gain practical strategies to support their development as inclusive practitioners in their own particular contexts. 

Drawing on international child protection law and international research, this course explores the teacher's role and responsibilities for keeping children safe.
